20-year-old named locally as Hasan Hussain dies after midnight crash in Bradford

A 20-year-old man named locally as Hasan Hussain has died after a fatal collision involving two cars in Bradford earlier today.

The incident happened shortly after midnight today (27 December) on Whetley Lane, near to the junction with Fairbank Road in Manningham.

It is believed two cars, believed to be a grey Vauxhall Astra and a grey Peugeot 107 crashed and then collided with two other parked cars.

A larger crowd gathered as firefighters as paramedics carried out CPR on the roadside.

20-year-old Hasan was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary, but sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

The road is still shut this morning.

Tributes quickly poured in on social media from friends and family paying tribute to Hasan.

Jodie Manning said: ‘Absolutely heartbreaking to hear that my good friend from school has sadly passed away in a car crash! Rest in peace Hasan Hussain! Never deserved it! Such a cheeky little chap! Sleep tight’
Umar Shahzad wrote: ‘Sleep tight my brother I love you.’

Mohammed Shabir added: ‘Inna lillahi wa inna alaiyhi raji’oon may Allah swt give him a place in jannah played football for us for 12 years wat a kid.’

Police are now appealing for information following the fatal collision and anyone who saw the collision or has any information should contact the police on 101 quoting log number *0040 of 27 December.
